BY BUS: DE LIJN

Leuven railway station is the centre point of the festival. It’s easily accessible, wherever you come from. The De Lijn bus company is running a continuous shuttle service between Leuven railway station and the festival site. This takes about fifteen minutes. Buses make a ‘loop’ between Leuven and Werchter and follow a special route, which is used only by security services and De Lijn. Tickets (5 euros) are for sale at the departure places. Buzzy Pazz and Omnipas are valid!

BY CAR

Visitors arriving by car should follow a route determined by their provenance. That way, arrivals and departures will be more spread and there will be less traffic jams. Important: follow the signposts and put out the GPS if you don’t want to get lost!

  • Coming from the directions E40 Oostende - Ghent, E429 Lille - Tournai - Halle or from the west side of Brussels, take the northern ring road of Brussels, in the direction of Mechelen. At the interchange of Machelen, take the exit E19 / Cargo. Signposting to Rock Werchter/TW Classic starts at the exit «Cargo» on the E19 motorway.
  • Coming from the directions Waterloo, E411 Namur – Wavre, E19 Charleroi - Mons or Brussels, take the eastern ring road of Brussels and then the motorways E40 and E314 in the direction of Leuven. Don’t take the exit to Leuven itself but keep following the E314 until signposting to Rock Werchter/TW Classic starts.
  • Coming from the directions Aachen – Liège, take the motorways E40 and E314 in the direction of Leuven. Don’t take the exit to Leuven itself but keep following the E314 until signposting to Rock Werchter/TW Classic starts.
  • Coming from the directions Antwerp, Breda, Bergen-op-Zoom or Turnhout-Eindhoven, take the Antwerp ring road and then the E19 motorway to Brussels. When passing Mechelen, stay on the E19. Signposting to Rock Werchter/TW Classic starts at exit 11 «Zemst» on the E19.
  • Coming from the directions of Limburg, Maastricht or Germany: at the interchange of Lummen, take the E314 in the direction of Leuven. Signposting to Rock Werchter/TW Classic starts at exit «Aarschot» on the E314.

It is advised to take the same route for returning. There will be specific signposting to lead you to your motorway entry.

In the vicinity of the festival ground there are about ten parking lots, all of them within walking distance of the festival site and ran by local organisations. Parkings are divided into 3 zones (A, B and C). Each of the visitor routes leads to one of these zones. It is advised not to change zones to avoid local traffic jams. If you want to go to another zone nonetheless, there is specific signposting allowing you to switch zones. Parking your car costs 15 euros.
