The festival park is on the Haachtsesteenweg in Werchter, Belgium. Werchter is 30 km from Brussels and 15 km from Leuven. The most practical and convenient ways of getting to Rock Werchter are by public transport and bicycle.
The healthiest and most environmentally friendly method of traveling to the festival is by bicycle!
Avoid any traffic jams to Werchter by hopping on your bike. Various cycling routes take you to the festival, from the directions of Leuven, Mechelen, Heist-op-den-Berg, and Aarschot.

You would like to cycle to Werchter, but the distance is a bit too much? Choose park & bike! Put your bicycle in or on your vehicle, and park at one of the free parksites located a bit further away from the festival. Continue your journey by bicycle, and leave it at one of the guarded bicycle parks near the festival.

After the end of the festival, two night trains will run from LEUVEN station to several destinations. These trains can only be boarded with the TW Classic e-train ticket.
The following trains will depart from Leuven station after the festival:
The special e-train ticket TW Classic costs 21 euros round trip, regardless of the distance you travel. Included are: the outward journey with a train of your choice to Leuven station (2nd class), the outward and return journey with De Lijn to Werchter and the return journey with the special night train of your choice. Also included: 24 hours parking during TW Classic in one of the NMBS car parks at the stations served by the night trains.
Buy your ticket from 24 May 2023 via sncb.be/twclassic. Your purchase counts as a seat reservation. The number of e-train tickets TW Classic is limited per special night train.

De Lijn will provide fast, continuous bus services between the Leuven train station and the festival site in Werchter.
If you're heading for the festival field, you can board the bus at Leuven station from 10 am. The buses run continuously back and forth between the Leuven train station and the festival until 2 am. The waiting time between 7 pm and 11 pm may be slightly longer.
A De Lijn day ticket is valid for outward and return bus journeys between the Leuven train station and the Werchter festival site and is available via SMS, or De Lijn's app, website or ticket machines. A day ticket costs 7,5 euros (*). We recommend to buy your bus ticket in advance. All info can be found here.
If you're travelling with the TW Classic e-train ticket, the shuttle bus is included in the price. Season tickets or other tickets are not valid for the shuttle buses.

Not the most ideal mode of travel, nor the greenest, but if you plan to arrive in Werchter by car or motorcycle, take into account possible delays during your outward and return journeys. Several streets around the Festival Park will be closed off and parking will be prohibited.
Unlike in previous years, you cannot simply park in the nearest available parking space. To park in Werchter, you will have to buy a parking ticket in advance for one specific festival car park.

Tips & Tricks
Important: combining alcohol and traffic is a no-go. Those who drive don’t drink. If you are traveling with friends, assign a BOB in advance. More info: www.bob.be.
There is NO Kiss & Ride zone near the festival. Do you want to be dropped off and picked up? We recommend you do this at Leuven or Aarschot train station. You can travel back and forth to Werchter safely with the free shuttle buses operated by De Lijn.
The waiting and parking ban around Werchter will be strictly enforced. Keep in mind that the police will take strict action, and can issue fines of 68 euros.
From 23 euros, travel comfortably and carefree to and from the festival, with one of the event shuttle buses departing from 42 different pick-up points scattered across Belgium. Departure times vary according to the distance traveled. Arrival at Werchter is scheduled for 4 pm. The number of tickets is limited. Book your seat or find the nearest pick-up point on this page.

Passengers can board or disembark ONLY at this coach park. At other locations the police will issue fines for waiting and parking.
From Brussels Airport (BRU) there are direct trains to Leuven. From Charleroi Airport (CRL), Leuven is also easily reached by train.
