SONS have a clear-cut mission: to inspire the same dread as Black Sabbath, the band that really know how to shred, according to the four runaway rockers from Flanders. They're certainly on the right track. They were discovered in 2018 during De Nieuwe Lichting, Studio Brussel's annual talent hunt. Jury member Jan Paternoster (Black Box Revelation) had this to say of them: ‘Pretty good hard punk! If those were my sons playing in that band, I'd be proud’. Their first single ‘Ricochet’ spent two weeks at the top of De Afrekening in April 2018. And they didn’t stop there. Just when the death of guitar rock was being mourned, SONS burst through the melancholy. At home, they've ticked off all the big milestones (Rock Werchter, AB, Pukkelpop), and now they are setting their sights on the Netherlands. In November 2019, they rocked the Icelandic capital Reykjavik to its very core. The debut album ‘Family Dinner’ came out in the spring of 2019. The most recent single, ‘I Need A Gun’, took the band high up De Afrekening.
