Can I get a refund for any unspent Coins after the festival?

Yes, you can request a refund from Thursday 22 June 2023 at 11 am until Thursday 6 July 2023 at 11.59 pm using this refund form. After this period has elapsed, no refunds will be processed. Refunds are issued within a month of request. An administrative fee of 1 Coin is charged for refunds. You must register in order to request a refund.

TW Classic goes cashless

Our trusty old paper food and drink tokens are no more. This year we start using Coins in the Festivalpark. The chip on your wristband is your electronic wallet onto which you can load Coins to pay for things in the Festivalpark. You can load Coins at the booths or by scanning a QR code with your smartphone camera (not your banking app!). Using Coins to pay at the bars and food stands is quick and safe.

Paying with Coins: step-by-step

In the Festivalpark, you can pay safely and efficiently using digital Coins. At the entrance to the festival you’ll receive a chipped wristband when you scan your festival ticket.  This wristband is your key to the festival and, starting this year, also your digital wallet. Using paper tokens to buy food and drink is a thing of the past. You pay cashless at using Coins which you load onto the chip in your wristband. Each Coin costs 3.50 euros. There are a number of ways to load Coins onto your wristband.

  • At the top-up booths: go to one of the booths and state how many Coins you wish to load. Once you have paid, the Coins are deposited on the chip in your wristband. You can pay at the booths using any bank card or the current payment apps.
  • QR code: there is a QR code on the chip in your wristband. Scan this with your smartphone camera (not your banking app!), follow the instructions and buy Coins with a couple of clicks.

Once your Coins are on the wristband, paying at the bars and food stands is a piece of cake. You settle up by swiping your chip on a reader.

Sharing a kitty? Go for a groupie card!

Would you like to set up a kitty with your friends? Then opt for the groupie card! Rather than loading Coins to your wristbands individually, collectively purchased Coins can be accumulated on a card. The groupie card is available at every top-up booth. Now we just have to decide who’s getting the drinks 😉

How much does each Coin cost?

A Coin costs 3.50 euros.

Where can I pay using Coins?

In the Festivalpark, you can use the Coins on your wristband to pay at every bar, in the aperozones, at the wine bar and all food stands. Coins cannot be used to pay at the merchandise stands or the various stands on the street outside the Festivalpark.

Can I check my Coins balance?

It’s easy to check your Coins balance at the bars, food stands and at the booths. Have you bought your Coins using a QR code and are therefore a registered user? Then you can view your Coins balance in the same way as well as a summary of your orders.

Was a double payment for Coins registered during the festival?

You can request a refund of your unspent Coins from Thursday 22 June 2023 at 11 am until Thursday 6 July 2023 at 11.59 pm using this refund form. We apologize for this inconvenience.

You want to pay but don’t have enough Coins on your wristband?

If the balance on your wristband is too low to cover your intended purchase, the food or drink stand staff will ask you to load your wristband by scanning the QR code and buying extra Coins, or going to one of our booths.

It is also possible to pay the remaining amount with a second wristband or groupie card (i.e. the band/groupie card of a second person who comes with you).

I have lost my card/wristband with Coins in the Festivalpark

Have you registered as a user by loading Coins onto your band or card using the QR code? The helpdesk staff can block the card or band of a registered user. After a check of your ID and ticket, your 'lost' Coins can be loaded onto a new card/bracelet.

Have you bought Coins at the ‘top-up’ booth and are not a registered user? Then both band/card and the Coins on it have been lost and we cannot transfer your balance.

Is this a secure payment system?

Yes. A few additional tips:

  • Don't share any pictures of your QR code on social media.
  • Register through this link or the TW Classic app. As a registered user, you are protected against the loss of your card/bracelet (and thus your Coins). After a check of your ID and ticket, your 'lost' Coins can be loaded onto a new card/bracelet.
What personal details are on the chip in my wristband?

On entering the festival you receive a chipped wristband when you scan your festival ticket. The chip in your wristband is literally your key to the festival from that point on. The chip in the wristband is not linked to your data. The same applies to anyone loading Coins using the top-up booths. If you buy Coins using the QR code on your wristband, you have to register and certain details are stored in order to enable the transaction.

Help desk

Are you having problems, with loading for example? Then we are happy to help at any of our cashless helpdesks in the Festivalpark. The team is also available during the festival via cashless@livenation.be #atyourservice

Can I also use my Coins from Werchter Boutique or TW Classic at Rock Werchter?

The wristbands are linked to specific festivals and, as such, cannot be used at other festivals or concerts taking place in the Festivalpark.

Why register my bracelet or card?

If you have loaded Coins onto your card or bracelet by scanning the QR code, you are not yet registered as a user. After registrating through this link or the TW Classic app, your card/bracelet is linked to your person. If you have topped up Coins at one of the 'Kassa' booths, you can also still register through this link or the TW Classic app.

As a registered user, you are protected against the loss of your card/bracelet (and thus your Coins). After a check of your ID and ticket, your 'lost' Coins can be loaded onto a new card/bracelet.
